With all of my achievements throughout the years , one thing I’ve never been willing to sacrifice is my academics.
Learning as much as I can and maintaining honorable grades mean so much to me. At times I’m a little too hard on myself because this is one area I strive for perfection.
Understandably, school does not come so easy for everyone, I get that. At times some are just not motivated and I get that too especially with so much going on in today’s world. I‘m not here to mislead you as if it’s the easiest task because it’s not.
I too struggle especially while being an athlete, but something that has always helped me is to stay as organized as possible and plan ahead.
I don’t always get straight A’s, but when I don’t I work a little harder and pray of course- it then works itself out. One thing that has been so key with my studies is studying over a period of time and not cramping everything in the night before. It’s just as important to get enough sleep, eat well and discipline yourself to stay off of social media even when it’s too hard. Like you I love tik toc, Netflix, Snapchat and social medias, but truthfully they are the biggest distractions.
You can achieve honorable grades if you discipline yourself to stay focused, organized and ask questions when needed.
I‘m always here to give the best advice I can, so feel free to contact me using my “contact us” tab on this site.
Be The Greatest Version of Yourself & Pursue Academics To Your Highest Ability!
As many of you know I’ve done multiple sports through out the years and the main point I want to share regarding that is you must incorporate the proper rest in between.
In order to perform at your highest potential, it is imperative you find balance, prioritize your mental health and rest properly.
Some people have the misconception if they keep going with little to no rest, they’ll eventually reach their goal. Truth is your body will crash if you don’t rest. Trust me if you decide to rest for a few weeks, or months you’ll come back refreshed, rejuvenated and 100% ready to go + truly dominate.
Also, don’t ever be so consumed with your athletics that you’re willing to put your academics on hold. No competition or sport is worth putting academics 2nd. After all, colleges select those thriving in both not just sports.
Find The Proper Balance If You‘re Hoping To Be The Greatest!
This one is extremely important to me. I would have never made it this far had God not been right there in the midst of it all. With every step of the way I have prayed my way through.
I constantly pray for forgiveness, guidance, favor and protection. I also constantly express so much gratitude for all he has done good, or bad because it all has served me well at one point or another. When I’m in trouble or not performing my best, I turn to him because he’s been my safe haven and refuge.
Truth is, I can’t do this journey on my own- I would lose myself in this world so I stick with God at all times. I pray you do too.
To God Be All The Glory!
